On April 12, 2021, Six Nations Elected Council received notice from Ohsweken Public Health
that a tenth community member has passed away due to complications from COVID-19.
Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Council would like to extend their condolences to the
family of this community member and to all who are affected by this tragic loss.
Last week, Six Nations moved into Alert Level Red as the province moved into lockdown amid
growing concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19 variants. We must stay vigilant as a
community and continue to follow public health guidelines to protect ourselves and each other
against these variants.
